Mike Steinhoff, ICLEI USA visits Melbourne
Mike Steinhoff recently arrived to deliver a carbon accounting workshop as part of the Local Government Climate Change Professional Development Program.
Mike has worked with ICLEI-USA since 2009 providing GHG inventory and climate action planning technical assistance to hundreds of US local governments.
Mike is the primary author of the US Community Protocol, and has served on the Advisory Committee for the GPC ( Community greenhouse accounting) and supports cities to implement these standards through online calculation tools, e- learning, and peer to peer exchange platforms. Mike was among the first certified City Climate Planner professionals.
The workshop sponsored by C40 Cities Network and delivered by ICLEI Oceania and Ironbark Sustainability for Melbourne Metro councils provides both a metropolitan wide and local community greenhouse profile and the follow up tools and support to apply this information to local climate action plans.
