Located in Fiji’s Central Region, Nausori Town Council serves as an important regional centre for the surrounding provinces. The town, as a gateway to the low-lying Rewa Delta, faces growing risks from flooding, heavy rainfall and other climate-related impacts. With a strong commitment to sustainable urban development and environmental responsibility, the Council is working to strengthen the town’s resilience, improve stormwater management and address other environmental challenges. Through its membership with ICLEI Oceania, Nausori Town Council will have opportunities to connect with other local governments, share experiences, and access knowledge and tools to support its climate and sustainability efforts.
