With a rapidly growing economy, the Council is committed to advancing environmental sustainability initiatives. It promotes efficient resource use, waste reduction, resource recovery, and the consumption of locally sourced food. Adelaide Hills Council was the second council in South Australia—and the 13th in Australia—to declare a Climate Emergency.
