Climate Action Summit 2019 - New York

On 23 September 2019, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, hosted the Climate Action Summit with the objective of boosting ambition and rapidly accelerating action to implement the Paris Agreement.

The United Nations Climate Action Summit held in New York was primarily a platform for some national governments to advance more ambitious commitments in line with meeting the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement. These include new initiatives that will support greater city level action.
