CDP & ICLEI launch unified reporting platform
We are pleased to announce the launch of the new unified climate action reporting platform.
The new unified reporting system has been developed on behalf of ICLEI and CDP. It will be hosted by CDP and is the official method to report on the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM) commitments.
The unified reporting process will continue to facilitate cities in measuring their impact and assess their progress towards their climate ambitions. It will showcase the efforts cities are making to engage citizens, businesses, investors and the global community in the transition to a sustainable economy, whilst providing helpful insights into other mitigation options.
Cities that have previously reported through ICLEI’s carbonn Climate Registry (cCR) will now be asked to report climate action data through this unified reporting platform. Data reported through the CDP platform will be shared automatically with ICLEI and data previously reported through the carbonn Climate Registry (cCR) will now be automatically transferred to the new platform.
Cities will now be able to receive reporting guidance from both ICLEI and CDP.
Cities wishing to take part in this year’s WWF One Planet City Challenge (OPCC) can also report through the unified platform.
